Hendricks County requires all volunteers to have a volunteer form on file and a background check on file. All background checks must be renewed every two years and will be paid for by EMA. Therefore all amateur radio operators that wish to be deployed in the case of a disaster or an emergency will need to have these forms on file with the county EMA.
This also applies to non-emergency volunteer activities.
To obtain the forms and background checks contact Operations AEC Gordon K Cotton at KDOEWM.IN@gmail.com.
